Why I Switched My Website Platform (And What That Means for You)

If you’ve been following along on my journey, you might have noticed something a little different around here… Jen Dolan Photography got a brand new website!

After some late nights (and probably too many iced coffees), I made the switch from Pixieset to Squarespace—and I couldn’t be more excited. I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes on why I made the change, what’s new, and how it’s going to make your experience even better.

Why I Made the Switch

As much as I loved Pixieset for galleries (and still use it to deliver your final photos!), I felt a bit limited when it came to customizing my website. I wanted something that was more me—modern, clean, and easy to update. I needed more control over SEO, layout options, and the ability to add blog posts just like this one.

Squarespace checked all the boxes.

It gives me more freedom to grow my site alongside my business, especially as I add new services like weddings, couples sessions, and sports teams 📸⚽️💍

Booking and browsing just got easier! Whether you're checking out session info, viewing my portfolio, or reaching out to book, everything’s more seamless. And as I continue to grow my business, I’ll be updating the site regularly with new galleries, blog posts, and behind-the-scenes fun.
